Subject knowledge is only the start. Teaching is a profession where skills build throughout a career, bringing a deep understanding of learner needs, effective teaching methods, and exam requirements.
All of our tutors have 25+ years experience of teaching only A level, within subject-specialist teams. Many have been examiners.
Each has taught thousands of A-level students.
They have an excellent awareness of misconceptions that learners may experience. Problems are quickly picked up, and teaching avoids common pitfalls. This simplifies the learning experience by minimising confusion.
Links between topics are drawn out and built upon to construct a deeper understanding of the subject. A-level success requires more than memorised facts; it is essential to contextualise knowledge more broadly.
Many of our tutors work as examiners. All have a deep understanding of exam specifications and mark schemes. They have studied how students drop marks in real exam situations, and how to avoid this.
All our tutors taught at a very large, sixth-form college which performs at the top of national league tables. Tutors have been selected for individual proven excellence.

What we offer
We offer online A-level tuition to support ongoing studies. We do not support other qualifications, nor do we offer full-course teaching.
Our tutors are ready to help with any topic on request, and can provide appropriate supporting materials.

A Cambridge Natural Sciences Graduate with over 10 years of experience of teaching A level Biology in a top sixth form college, Rachel is very patient, enthusiastic and rigorous. Her students love her lessons and make terrific progress.
Maths / Further Maths
Tania
After nearly 40 years of Maths and Further Maths A level teaching, Tania retains a tremendous enthusiasm for mathematics and a deep understanding of how students engage with the subject, and the best ways to enable their learning. Due to overwhelming demand, Tania has almost no slots available. Let us know by WhatsApp which times might be possible (outside of the peak 4-7pm evenings !).

Emma has many years of experience of only teaching A level Maths and Further Maths. She is happy to teach any A level Maths Specification and the Pure Maths component of any Further Maths Specification

With over 25 years of A level Sociology teaching experience, Mark is a real expert and passionate about teaching Sociology. He leads a very large and successful department. He is able to teach all A level Sociology specifications, with an especially comprehensive knowledge of AQA (where he has been an examiner).
